To honor and support African American students of business, law, technology, science or education.

Criteria/Eligibility

  • African-American student. 
  • Undergraduates with a less than four years of college (13 quarters or 9 semesters) accepted.
  • Cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  • Demonstrate financial need.
  • Live in King or Snohomish County in Washington State or Tipton County in Tennessee.
  • Scholarship is intended to benefit applicants majoring in business, law, technology, science or education.
  • Current scholarship recipients will receive preference; however recipients must re-apply each school year.

Write a brief essay, not to exceed two doubled spaced pages, telling us about yourself and how you think education will benefit you and your community. Discuss the challenges you anticipate, any unique circumstances, hardships and/or obstacles that you have overcome.

Please include your financial aid information which could include either the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) or the FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR).
