Jeanette Lodwig serves as General Counsel for The Seattle Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation, Lodwig was a member of Davis Wright Tremaine’s Tax-Exempt Organizations practice group. During her seven years of legal practice at Davis Wright Tremaine, Lodwig was a trusted advisor to many foundations, public charities and other nonprofit organizations.
Lodwig is a frequent speaker on topics such as grantmaking legal issues, endowment management, lobbying and compliance with the federal tax rules under the Pension Protection Act. She earned her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law and her B.A. in Community and Environmental Planning, with a minor in Spanish, from the University of Washington.
