Alpha Omicron Boulé Foundation Programs
Sigma Pi Phi is the first national African-American Greek-Letter Fraternity. Organized in Philadelphia in 1904, the Boulé has sought to bring together, like-minded men who have strong interests in building both their community and their careers. The Seattle chapter provides scholarship assistance to outstanding high school graduates who have made the commitment to continue their education. Our scholarship program is administered through The Seattle Foundation, one of the nation’s largest community foundations.
A recipient attending a four-year college or university may receive an award of $1,000 per year--up to four years--provided the recipient earns passing grades and maintains a minimum 2.0 GPA.
A recipient attending a two-year college may receive an award of $500 per year--up to two years--spread over each term during the academic year.
Recent Successes and Current Challenges
The Alpha Omicron Boulé Foundation has awarded over 100 scholarships since inception. In addition for the financial support provided through the scholarship, recipients are paired with a mentor to provide assistance through their college experience.
