Description

Bishop Blanchet High School is a private, Catholic, college preparatory school.  Established in 1954, it was the first Catholic co-education high school in the Archdiocese of Seattle.  Today, more that 12,000 alumni are civic, professional and community leaders.  Bishop Blanchet High School provides all students with a challenging academic experience with focus on developing the whole person: spiritual, academic, social, physical and creative.

  • 98% of graduates continue on to higher education/50% receive scholarships  
  • 96% of students take 4 years of mathematics; 
  • 89% of students take 4 years of science;
  • 50% of students are enrolled in Honors and/or AP courses.
  • Honors and AP Courses offered in English, Language and Composition, Math, Studio Art, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, French, German, Japanese, Spanish, Political Science, US History

Recent Successes and Current Challenges

Service     
Almost 6000 meals served through St. Vincent de Paul and Teen Feed this past year. Over 60% of students are involved in some volunteer service apart from what is required.  All students are required to give service directly to those in need each year.  Several students spent Easter break building houses in New Orleans with the organization  Shirts Across America.
