Drop-in InterPlay Classes
InterPlay Seattle provides regular opportunities for participants to learn and practice the techniques of InterPlay. Ongoing drop-in classes include Friday Morning InterPlay, Intergenerational InterPlay and the monthly Friday Night InterPlay Jam.

InterPlay Leadership Training
The InterPlay Life Practice Program offers participants an extended immersion in the techniques and philosophy of InterPlay, over the course of a 6-9 month curriculum. For those seeking to become certified InterPlay leaders, they can choose to continue on with the InterPlay Leader Training Program, which provides further training and mentored teaching experiences.

The real genius of InterPlay is how it fosters healthy community and reaches across the boundaries of race, culture, gender, and religion. InterPlay’s potential for stimulating social change is why over 700 people in India, Brazil, Australia, Germany and the United States are leading and sharing it with others.

InterPlay Way for Helping Professionals
One of InterPlay’s newest programs, this curriculum is designed to serve helping professionals—therapists, social workers, spiritual directors, hospice workers, spiritual leaders. Based on the model of the Life Practice Program, this new program offers participants a set of tools and a community to support them personally and professionally in their challenging work.

Recent Successes and Current Challenges

Recent Success
InterPlay Seattle Reaches Out to Recovery Café and Cancer Care Alliance

In 2012, the leadership team for InterPlay Seattle (Sounding Board), began making small grants to Seattle-area InterPlayers to help support the launch of new and promising InterPlay activities. These grants were especially intended to help share InterPlay in places and communities who otherwise would never get to experience it. Recent small grants have included:

  • InterPlayer Steve Condit bringing InterPlay to the Recovery Café and to patients at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance
  • InterPlayer Sharonne O’Shea is bringing InterPlay to an afterschool program
Current Needs
NextGen 2012 ScholarshipsxxxThe Seattle InterPlay community would like to send two NextGen InterPlayers (ages 18-30) to the 3rd annual NextGen Art and Social Change program in Oakland, CA (August 2012). Donations towards these NextGen scholarships will support the creative development of two emerging Seattle artists, and bring new leadership skills to our Seattle InterPlay community.
