Concerned Citizens Programs

In-Home Personal Care Program
Our program has the largest client base and serves all of Jefferson and Clallam counties. The program matches caregivers to clients to provide the best possible customized service to each individual. This program allows seniors and people with developmental delays to successfully live in the least restrictive environment possible – (their homes). Since 1997

Teen Center
Only on the Forks campus provides activities for teens ages 12 to 18, indoor skateboarding, pool table, air hockey, computer lab, X-Box. Free food and good supervision provided. Since 1996

Early Intervention
This program addresses the needs of children birth to three who have a developmental delay. Our experts will come to your home to evaluate your child’s development and provide the necessary therapies or instruction to help you in bringing your child up to developmental level by the time they reach Kindergarten age. We work closely with all the school districts to provide the best educational and therapeutic supports possible.

Recent Successes and Current Challenges

Recently we have been having kids ride the bus or just come drive out from Port Angeles to Forks, 60 miles around a curvy lake road and over a mountain to use our Teen Center. They are fun kids who skateboard and have given us many compliments about the Teen Center and how great it was to have an indoor skating ramp. We are seeing an increase in the amount of teens coming to the teen center and accessing the meals and supervised activities we have to offer in these rough economic times.

We are seeing an increase in people who need caregiving at home in order to live in the least restrictive environment and who want to retain their independence as much as possible and for as long as possible. As the funding dries up for services this may become a very critical need that impacts our communities.
