Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart Programs
Women In Leadership
Forest Ridge enjoys a proud tradition of developing young women into the leaders of tomorrow. Our program provides the innovation and opportunities needed to cultivate leadership - the ultimate outcome of a Forest Ridge education. A new program has been launched to focus upon women's leadership, inspired by our Sacred Heart heritage of leadership, intellectual and personal growth, and service to others. This program will extend byond the Forest Ridge community connecting our mission to the local, national and global communities.
Affordability and Accessibility
Sound finances give independent schools the ability and reassurance to be stronger, more agile and more effective at delivering their education to students. As a tuition-dependent school with various income sources, our current financial practices have served the school well for over a century. As we look to the future, we seek to expand our financial model and ensure the school's legacy. The school believes that its current urgent need - to increase the capacity for recruiting students of diverse races, ethnicities and socio-economic backgrounds will result in any qualified student, regardless of race or family income, will have the opportunity to graduate from high school prepared to suceed in college, career and life. It is the school's goal to increase its financial capacity to recruit and enroll these qualified young women.
Excellence in Teaching
Excellent teaching is the hallmark of the finest independent schools. Forest Ridge has a strong heritage and culture in teaching excellence and we continually seek to advance this integral aspect of our institution. The School will research and employ strategies to continue to recruit, retain and reward outstanding faculty and staff who embrace and reinforce the Sacred Heart philosophy and mission.
Recent Successes and Current Challenges
With the rising cost of independent school tuition, Forest Ridge seeks to provide opportunities for the brightest and most ambitious students in our community, some of whom may be unable to afford the cost. Perhaps now more than ever, our mission of equity compels us to action: education is increasingly a life-determining factor for many young people and their families. Support of Scholarship Endowment is the school's most present need.
