Northeast Seattle Little League

Description

Northeast Seattle Little League (NESLL) is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to promote, develop, and supervise all children interested in Little League baseball and softball. We are one of the largest programs in Seattle with over 1,200 participants. We want to compete, but even more importantly, we want our children to learn life lessons and have a positive experience while playing the game of baseball.

Mission Statement
Northeast Seattle Little League's (NESLL)  mission is to implant firmly in the children of our community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect, so that they may be well adjusted, stronger and happier children and will grow to be good, decent, healthy and trustworthy citizens.

Programs

Northeast Seattle Little League Programs

Northeast Seattle Little League (NESLL) provides opportunities for a variety of Divisions in both baseball and softball, depending on age and skill level. Teams consist of 12 to 15 players. Games are played at local playing fields and coached by volunteers from the community. Our season begins with registration beginning in December, followed by player assessments in February for our higher divisions. Except for tee-ball and coach pitch baseball and 78ers softball, players are assigned to teams based on the player assessments and a draft. Practices usually begin in early March and games begin in early April and end in mid-June. We conduct post-season playoff for majors and minor divisions culminating in championship games on Championship Day. Some players are selected to participate in post-season "All Star" tournament competition.

Recent Successes and Current Challenges

Northeast Seattle Little League (NESLL) will be hosting the District 8 12-year old Baseball All Star Tournament this summer.

The League's current needs are for field improvements to help with field drainage, spectator seating, and player equipment.
