Seattle True Independent Film Festival

Description

The STIFF organization consists of volunteers who organize a yearly film festival. We provide a venue for low-budget, unique, offbeat, and local films that would otherwise not be shown in a public theater. We serve all individuals who enjoy independent films and who prefer to see them in a large screen environment. Our goals are to screen better and better films each year while keeping costs to a minimum.

Mission Statement
The Seattle True Independent Film Festival (STIFF) is a non-profit arts organization serving local patrons of independent film. Our mission is to entertain and educate the public about independent film.

Seattle True Independent Film Festival Programs

Our service offering is a springtime film festival showcasing films from around the world, including approximately 25% local content. The revenue we receive from ticket sales, submission fees, and donations provides our funding for current year venue rentals and future organization expenses.

Recent Successes and Current Challenges

STIFF is now in its 8th year and continues to provide an entertaining spectacle including unique films, parties, forums, and other special events. Our most recent success has been to raise just enough money to lower our ticket prices from $10 to $8 to celebrate our anniversary. We hope our continued efforts enable us to pass along more savings to our customers and to support the arts community in general. One of our most pressing needs is to hire a marketing consultant to connect community groups with films that match their general interest.
