Description

Special Moments organization believes that every child deserves to experience a moment so special that it allows them to let down their guard and forget about their circumstances which prohibits them from being childlike or just enjoying the moment. A child, regardless of their economic or social status should be able to experience a moment so incredible that it creates a joyful & lasting memory. Our programs are meant to impact and balance the lives of these children emotionally as well as to create a more positive outlook on life and their futures. Mission Statement
Special Moments mission is to create special events that will afford children & teens that are homeless, in foster care or vulnerable, the opportunity to experience a moment so special that ignites a sense of Joy, Pride & Hope. Creating these special moments we hope to impact the lives of these children emotionally as well as to create a more positive outlook on life and their futures.

A Christmas to Remember
This event will afford children & their families or guardians an experience so special that it allows them to let down their guard & enjoy a bonding moment. It will provide the opportunity for a child to be child like and enjoy the fantasy of believing in Santa & experience the loving spirit of giving. Every child deserves to experience a special moment in their lives which has a positive emotional impact and Special Moments intends to provide opportunities such as these.

Special Moments- transforming memories one child at a time.  

A Graduations Celebration
This event will target teens that are homeless, in foster care or vulnerable that have successfully graduated from high school and received their high school diploma for that given year. It will be a special moment that we recognize this teens for their hard work and great accomplishments despite their environmental challenges. 


Recent Successes and Current Challenges

On December 15, 2012 Special Moments launched it's first program 'A Christmas to Remember" held at the Rainier House in Seattle Wa. We sponsored over 25 families and over 35 children from both King and Pierce County. Please visit our Facebook page
