Recent Successes and Current Challenges

After many years of planning and preparation, the Hearthstone celebrated the completion of a dedicated Memory Care Wing, along with a new Assisted Living Kitchen/Bakery and Dining Room in April 2010.  The addition of the Memory Care Wing completes the continuum of care and assures each resident fulfillment of a lifetime of services at the Hearthstone.

The Residents’ Assistance Fund is essential to the Hearthstone.  The Hearthstone is committed to a lifetime of exceptional service to every resident.  Occasionally, however, through no fault of their own, residents are unable to pay for the continuation of their care. For this reason, the Hearthstone has established a Residents’ Assistance Fund provide a necessary subsidy and/or charitable care for that resident's future needs. Gifts to this fund and disbursements from it are carefully managed and audited to assure that their value is maximized for the benefit and assurance that every resident who needs assistance will receive it.  The support of the greater community as well as generous gifts from residents and staff are crucial to sustaining this fund, and always welcome.
