University Preparatory Academy Programs

University Prep offers an outstanding academic program for grades six through twelve. Guided by passionate and innovative teachers, we offer a program that includes cultural competency through Global Link, an integrated community service program and a commitment to making our program financially available to many qualified students.

As part of our commitment to the Seattle community, we are proud to support the Rainier Scholars program. For the 2009-10 academic year, we have 22 Rainier Scholars enrolled. In addition, a total of $1.7 million in financial aid was awarded for the 2009-10 year, representing a partnership with 18% of our families.

Recent Successes and Current Challenges

Our most recent graduating class of 75 young men and women all went on to appropriate colleges and universities. Two of our graduating Rainier Scholars were Gates Millennium Scholars. Seventy five percent of our graduates were Washington State Scholars.

University Prep is currently seeking support for capital funds to refurbish and enhance our seven science classroom labs and our gym, as well as seeking support for the ongoing investment in the human capital represented by our faculty and students through increased endowment and general operating funds.
