Washington Imagination Network Programs

We offer regional tournaments in Rochester, Lake Stevens, Spokane, Silverdale and Issaquah for 1,400 participants. Additionally, we offer trainings in each of the five regions for approximately 400 volunteer coaches and team managers. We offer a state tournament in Wenatchee for approximately 500 participants.

Recent Successes and Current Challenges

This year Washington Imagination Network sent 22 teams to Global Finals in Knoxville, TN. Sixteen of these teams placed in the top half in their divisions, including one first place, one second place, two third places and two special awards.

Due to state budget cuts by the State Legislature in June 2011, Washington Imagination Network is no longer receiving an appropriation of $55,800 to cover operating and tournament expenses. Unless additional funding is secured, a tremendous raise in membership fees for schools and teams will continue to result in less participation across the state in low economic populations.
