“The arts are the best our culture has to offer,” say Jane and David Davis. The Davis’ understand that funding for the arts is precarious, especially during tough economic times. For this reason, they are steadfast in their support of the arts.
By giving to institutions like art museums, the symphony, theaters, dance and opera, as well as art education programs, they feel their support really makes a difference. “Young people today are flooded with so much amplified noise and violence in pop culture,” they explain. “We worry that they will never be exposed to the traditional arts that express the depth and richness of our civilization.”
