Libby Armintrout is a community leader who, over the years, has served on dozens of nonprofit boards of directors. She devotes most of her energy to educational organizations.

In addition to Seattle Foundation, she currently serves on the Seattle Children’s Hospital Board and the Pomona College Board of Trustees, where she co-chairs the school’s capital campaign. In the recent past, she was Chair of the Lakeside School and University Child Development School Boards of Trustees. She has also served on the University of Washington Tyee Board, the Make-A-Wish Foundation Board, and the Alliance for Education Board. She is a founding member of the Washington Women’s Foundation and she supports her extended family’s philanthropy.

Ms. Armintrout received her B.A. in economics from Pomona College in Claremont, Calif. She spends most of her time supporting and coaching her three young adult children as they work their way toward independence.
