A GiveBIG Shout Out to Jean Enersen and Our Media Partners

Hats off to Jean Enersen and KING5, The Seattle Times and STAR 101.5 - Kent & Alan in the Morning for their support of GiveBIG.

April 21, 2016

This week marks the retirement of KING5 News Anchor Jean Enersen.  We celebrate her amazing career at KING5 and thank Jean for her role as a spokeswoman for GiveBIG, Seattle Foundation’s one-day, online giving event designed to raise money for local nonprofits.  Jean jumped on board for GiveBIG in 2011, our first year, and has been an enthusiastic promoter and participant each and every year.  Look for Jean’s GiveBIG 2016 video on KING5 starting Monday.  Coming up on Tuesday, May 3, GiveBIG wouldn’t be as big as it is without the generous support of KING5 and Jean Enersen.  Thank you, Jean!

What’s New with GiveBIG 2016?  We have a new technology platform that will allow you to give to multiple nonprofit organizations with one simple transaction!  Our “Giving Cart” makes it easy and efficient for you to generously support all of your favorite nonprofits with just one transactions – eliminating the need to enter your information multiple times.  So give those fingers a rest and whether you give one BIG gift or GIVE many smaller gifts, remember to give on May 3.  Together, we can make an impact!

Seattle Foundation is excited to welcome Star 101.5 as a partner for GiveBIG 2016. Kent and Alan in the Morning are enthusiastic supporters of GiveBIG and active in a wide array of community causes.  We look forward to adding their voices to the community rally supporting GiveBIG and the more than 1,500 nonprofits participating in this one-day, online giving event on May 3.  Welcome, Star 101.5!

Did you see The Seattle Times’ Giving Guide on Sunday?   This useful 23-page insert will help you prepare for GiveBIG by providing information on the event, a profile of Seattle Foundation and a sampling of the more than 1,500 organizations that will participate in this year’s one-day, online giving event designed to raise money for local nonprofits.  Thank you to The Seattle Times for your generous support and take a look at the Giving Guide and get ready to GiveBIG!
