Leading for Impact Cohort Announced

Seattle Foundation and The Bridgespan Group bring unique leadership development opportunities to local nonprofits.

February 13, 2017

Seattle Foundation is partnering with The Bridgespan Group to bring the Leading for Impact (LFI) program to local nonprofits.  LFI will engage the senior leadership teams of approximately 50 nonprofits in the King County community. Nonprofits will receive two years of consulting support, and support to build the capacity of their leadership teams to think and act more strategically, thus enabling their organizations to increase both performance and impact.

The third Leading for Impact Cohort launched Tuesday, January 31st.  The third Cohort includes:

Centerstone

Children’s Home Society of Washington

College Access Now

Compass Housing Alliance

Downtown Emergency Service Center

Friends of Youth

The Mountaineers

Washington Trails Association

Starting with the third Cohort , we invited 501 Commons our local capacity building intermediary to shadow the Leading for Impact program.  We hope some of Bridgespan’s tools and approaches will be incorporated into 501 Commons consulting practice and action learning programs long term and we will be able to reach many more nonprofits beyond the ones participating in the LFI program. Thank you so much to funders like Ballmer Group Philanthropy, Matt Griffin & Evelyne Rozner, Bill Lewis, Raikes Foundation, Walker Family Foundation, and Brad Smith and Kathy Surace-Smith for making this program possible.
