Is your GIVEBIG profile making a good first impression?
Help prospective donors find your organization
April 02, 2018
On May 9, your organization will be exposed to new donors who are searching to find causes that align with their passions. To help these prospective donors find your organization, make sure that your GIVEBIG profile captures their interest. Let the heart of your mission shine through, so prospective donors feel comfortable and excited to get to know you and all of the great things your organization does. Make sure to add photos or a video that shows off the people you serve and the work you do. Watch Getting Ready for GIVEBIG to learn how to edit your organization's profile. All profile changes, except matching funds, must be made no later than April 11. The last day to update matching funds is April 25.
Donors tend to give more when there is a match. Ask your board or donor base about participating with a matching gift. If you have a matching gift, make sure to add it to your organization’s profile. You can also edit the “Recognition” text field to acknowledge the matching gift funders. These funds are treated as a dollar-for-dollar match and will count down on GIVEBIG as donations are made.
The success of GIVEBIG depends on getting the word out to our community with creative, consistent and effective messaging. Find everything you need, from social media assets to banner ads in the marketing toolkit.
