GIVEBIG 2018 is Almost Here!

At Seattle Foundation, we have been preparing for months and are very excited to make this day successful for you, your organization and our community. Below is how we plan to support you during GIVEBIG and ways you can communicate with us. Our goal is your success!
First, if your organization has any questions on May 9, the team will be available from 7 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. at firstname.lastname@example.org or 1.833.962.3615. Trained staff will answer your questions as quickly as we are able to, but you can also find many answers in both our Nonprofit FAQ and Donor FAQ. Feel free to use that information as well.
Seattle Foundation will be active on both Twitter and Facebook throughout May 9 with updates and highlights. If any disruptions or emergencies occur, you can find up-to-date information there or here on our blog.
Throughout the day, your donors may have questions about their donations, whether it is correcting an error or asking for a receipt. We created the Donor FAQs to address these common issues. Please feel free to direct them here. If the issue needs more support, our staff at both email@example.com and 1.833.962.3615 are available to help. However, if a donor contacts you about an unsuccessful credit/debit transaction, we recommend you direct the donor to her or his bank to resolve the situation, as these instances mostly occur because of an issue with a card or bank. Another solution is to have your donor give via the eCheck option during checkout on the GIVEBIG website. If it is determined that these factors are not the issue, please have them contact us via email or phone.
In preparing for GIVEBIG, we have spent a lot of effort planning for contingency scenarios. While we intend for everything to go smoothly on May 9, we are prepared for possible disruptions and will communicate any changes via our social channels first. As with last year, our partner, CiviCore, was chosen for its experience with giving days across the country and its ability to ensure robust backup systems and contingency planning. The platform is designed to scale up for a high volume of transactions and to quickly activate contingency services and vendors in the event of any issues. They also have built-in redundancies to ensure transactions continue in the case of a database or server failure.
We recognize that your organization has invested resources and effort into making GIVEBIG 2018 a success. We have enjoyed seeing your campaigns on social media, in the Giving Guide and all around the community. We are committed to providing a stable and effective platform for you and your donors to celebrate a magical day of community generosity on May 9.
