We're happy to announce that Allyson Tucker, Senior Investment Officer of Risk Management and Asset Allocation at the Washington State Investment Board, has joined the Seattle Foundation Board of Trustees.
The WSIB is one of the nation's largest institutional investors. It currently manages over $130 billion on behalf of 35 separate funds. These funds are comprised of defined benefit and defined contribution retirement funds, deferred compensation funds, insurance funds, permanent, and other trust funds.
“I’m excited by the opportunity to work on the growing array of community priorities and challenges being addressed by Seattle Foundation,” said Tucker. “This is an organization and a board that know how to translate philanthropic passion into much-needed community impact, so I’m humbled to be part of the effort.”
Tucker has also served as a community representative on Seattle Foundation’s Investment Committee for more than two years.
“Allyson Tucker has brought incredible expertise and perceptive market analysis to our Investment Committee,” said Steve Hill, Chair of the Committee. “Her financial acumen and commitment to strengthening our community will be assets to Seattle Foundation’s Board of Trustees.”
She brings 20 years of investment management experience, including her role as a key member of the investment team at a leading public pension fund for the last nine years. Prior to joining the WSIB, Tucker worked as an Investment Specialist for what is now known as BMGI, the investment manager for the William H. Gates III Family Office and for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Trust.
