Fraser Black is the Managing Partner at Pioneer Square Investments. He serves as an Advisor at Divergent Ventures, LLC. Fraser has more than 20 years of financial and general management experience in high-growth businesses and is an active angel investor and consultant to local Northwest startups.
From 1995 to 1998, he served as Chief Financial Officer at ONYX Software, a CRM enterprise software developer. Prior to joining ONYX, Fraser was a Partner at Black and Pollnow. From 1988 to 1990, he served as Assistant to the President at Ashton-Tate, a software publisher of dBase, where he also served as Group Manager of Customer Service and Sales Support. He was a Financial Analyst at Salomon Brothers in the Investment Banking Division from 1983 to 1986. Fraser serves as the Chairman and Director of Equal Opportunity Schools. He currently serves on the board of Washington Securities, Ballard Mill Properties and has served as a Director of Lumera Corporation.
Fraser has served as a volunteer on numerous grantee projects and as a Board Member for IslandWood, Powerful Schools and as Chairman of Social Venture Partners Seattle. Fraser received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and an A.B. Cum Laude from Harvard College.
