Bao-Tram is a proud native Seattleite who grew up in Southeast Seattle. She is a civic leader and seasoned grantmaker, beginning her work in philanthropy as a founding board member of a youth grantmaking board. Bao-Tram has a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, where she was a Gates Millennium Scholar and the first graduate of the Public Health Advocacy certificate program in the school’s history. She is a graduate of Whitman College with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology. Bao-Tram was recognized with a statewide leadership award from the Center for Women & Democracy in 2017.
Bao-Tram joined the Seattle Foundation in 2013.
