Kris leads Seattle Foundation’s existing philanthropic and programmatic initiatives, as well as develops new strategies and innovative approaches, to drive positive, equitable outcomes for our community.

Organization and leadership development
For more than 25 years, Kris has worked as a nonprofit executive, strategist, grantmaker, and fundraiser, bridging two of her passions—advocating for equity and opportunity and for strategic philanthropy.
Before joining Seattle Foundation, Kris served as the Chief Executive Officer of Pride Foundation where she led its efforts to mobilize individual and institutional resources to affect real change in communities that are most impacted by injustices.
Prior to that, Kris’ career focused on policy advocacy and systems change in her leadership roles with the National Center for Lesbian Rights, The Rhode Island Foundation, and Brown University’s Center for Public Service.
Kris has a Master of Education in administration, planning, and social policy from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Kris is also a shareholder of the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League.
