Jim is primarily responsible for the investments, treasury and financial operations of Seattle Foundation, bringing strategic direction and tactical implementation to SeaFdn’s investment accounting, financial operations, budgeting, business decision support and impact investments.

Jim comes to Seattle Foundation with a long track record of senior executive experience. He has held CFO and President positions in the healthcare and technology sectors since 1985. He has served on many nonprofit boards in this community, including the YMCA, the YMCA Foundation, Hospice, the Rotary Club and the Olympic College Foundation. He currently serves as a gubernatorially-appointed trustee at Olympic College and is the current president of the Washington Association of Community and Technical College Trustees.

He attended Olympic College and the University of Washington and has a bachelors degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting. He is a licensed CPA in the state of Washington. He also enjoys spending time with his family, his wife Joy, their dog Tilley and especially his four grandchildren: Max, James, Madeline and Logan.

Jim has worked at Seattle Foundation since 2018.
