Before joining the Foundation, Fidelma came from a 15-year commitment to the nonprofit field, serving as executive director to three nonprofit organizations. Prior to joining the social sector, she spent 10 years in the private sector, with her formative years at Microsoft Corporation, relocating from the Emerald Isle to the Emerald City to work in Microsoft's International Marketing Division. She has a degree in marketing and communications from the College of Commerce in Dublin and is a graduate of Stanford Graduate Business School’s program for Executive Leadership in the Nonprofit Arts. She has served on several local and national boards, including the National Alliance of Media Arts + Culture, Grantmakers in Film and Electronic Media, and both Seattle and Washington State’s Arts Commissions. She is a frequent speaker and contributor on philanthropic trends. In her spare time, when not in a darkened cinema, she enjoys exploring the great outdoors with her husband and daughter.
Fidelma has been working at Seattle Foundation since 2012.
