Yuna Martin   

Yuna supports the day-to-day operations of more than 50 scholarship funds and administer the Foundation’s scholarship program including compliance and implementation of best practices. Her primary responsibilities are tracking and processing scholarships, corresponding with students, schools and donors, and ensuring key milestones are met in the overall delivery of the program.

Yuna (she/her) is excited to bring efficiency, enthusiasm, and empathy to the Seattle Foundation team. Throughout her career, Yuna has aligned herself to professional and personal opportunities that invest in young people’s power. Her experience spans from being a teaching assistant at the Clarence T.C. Ching PUEO Program to rising middle schoolers to a data management team lead at Equal Opportunity Schools. Yuna is excited to join the team to continue to dismantle barriers that impede Black, Brown, and Indigenous youth from achieving their dreams. Yuna is originally from the unsurrendered land of the Kānaka Maoli (Honolulu, Hawai'i) and now occupies Duwamish land (Seattle, Washington). She enjoys riding her bike, talking about films, and laughing loudly. 

Yuna has been working at Seattle Foundation since 2021.
