As Interim General Counsel, Jeanette provides strategic advice to Seattle Foundation’s Leadership Team on a variety of issues relative to its philanthropic partnerships and services. She works closely with the Philanthropic Services group to accept gifts of complex assets, advise on gift planning options, and ensure excellent service to philanthropists.

Jeanette previously served as General Counsel for Seattle Foundation from 2012-2017. In 2018 she moved to Hawaii and worked as a consultant for the General Counsel team at Hawai`i Community Foundation. She recently rejoined Seattle Foundation to serve as Interim General Counsel. Jeanette has over 15 years of experience as a trusted advisor to many foundations, public charities and other nonprofit organizations. In 2016 she was awarded Outstanding Chief Legal Officer —Nonprofit Organization, as part of Puget Sound Business Journal’s Corporate Counsel of the Year Awards. Prior to joining Seattle Foundation in 2012, Jeanette was a member of the Tax-Exempt Organizations practice group at the law firm Davis Wright Tremaine for 7 years. She received her juris doctor degree from Northeastern University School of Law.
