Aileen manages Core Grantmaking Programs at the Seattle Foundation including Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N), our grassroots grantmaking program, the Fund for Inclusive Recovery, and our Nonprofit Support investments in Black, Indigenous and people of color led capacity builders and grantee organizations. She is also responsible for intentional community engagement, being present with and hearing directly from community leaders so that she can lift up opportunities and strategies from the ground up.

Aileen is a Northwest native who lives with her family in South Seattle. A 25-year practitioner in community development, she has worked on grassroots leadership development, multiracial coalition building and facilitation, community based research, capacity building coaching, and more. For 7 years she managed the Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) and prior to that served on the advisory committee for 5 years as a community representative. Aileen previously served as the executive director of the White Center Community Development Association, is a nonprofit coach for BIPOC executives, and serves on the board of the Filipino Community of Seattle. She has a Master of Public Administration from the Evans School at the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Puget Sound.
Aileen has been working at Seattle Foundation since 2017.
