Tony Mestres, President & CEO, Seattle Foundation
Tony Mestres is President & CEO of Seattle Foundation, one of the largest community foundations in the country and one of the largest grantmakers in the Pacific Northwest. Under Tony’s leadership, Seattle Foundation has redefined its role as a civic leader, shining a light on community needs and developing cross-sector initiatives to drive racial and economic equity throughout the region. These efforts have been recognized with numerous awards; most recently, Tony was named The NonProfit Times’ 2019 Influencer of the Year. Prior to joining Seattle Foundation, Tony had a 22-year career in high technology, most of which at Microsoft, where he was the vice president responsible for worldwide sales and marketing of the Windows product line. He currently serves on the board.

Kirstin Sandaas, Chief Financial and Operating Officer, Seattle Foundation
For 16 years Kirstin served in a variety of finance and accounting functions at Saltchuk Resources and its operating subsidiaries, including Sea Coast Towing. Most recently, Kirstin was the CFO for Foss Maritime, a global marine services business that was formed in Tacoma in 1889. During her tenure, Foss nearly doubled its revenue and transitioned from a West Coast-focused organization to a global marine services business.  In addition to overseeing the finance and supply chain evolution, she implemented a major ERP system and led changes to standardize business practices and increase efficiency. Prior to joining the Saltchuk organization, Kirstin worked at Optiva Corporation, makers of the Sonicare toothbrush, and with public accounting firms Ernst & Young LLP, Clark Nuber P.S. and Arthur Andersen & Co. Sandaas holds graduate and undergraduate degrees in accounting from the University of Washington.
