I have the privilege of championing a group of Seattle Foundation leaders who build community and work towards systems change through our grant making, civic action, communications and shared learning efforts. Together, this allows us to be a place where diverse leaders can convene to reimagine and resource a more joyful region.

Sean Goode is a speaker, facilitator, writer and non-profit leader who is driven by his mantra, “possibilities over problems,” which was born out of his experience growing up in overwhelmingly challenging circumstances. Prior to serving at the Seattle Foundation, through his service and the now nationally recognized non-profit CHOOSE 180 he worked to decriminalize youthful behavior and transform the very systems that have historically caused harm to marginalized communities. His work leading this City of Seattle Human Rights award-winning organization was preceded by his service as a chaplain in juvenile detention, champion of gang and group intervention efforts and work providing education and employment opportunities to youth in at-risk communities.
Sean joined Seattle Foundation in 2023.
