The scholarship program reflects Seattle Foundation’s mission to ignite powerful and rewarding philanthropy to make Greater Seattle a stronger, more vibrant community for all. Providing access to a college education for students who may not be able to pursue that dream provides returns — and rewards — beyond measure.
Seattle Foundation offers a wide variety of scholarships for high school seniors and undergraduate/graduate college students, with awards ranging in value from $500 to full tuition. These scholarships help give deserving students a foundation for pursuing their studies (and their passions), like past recipient Tara Walrath, who fostered a positive community for females at her high school and is now studying interior design at Bellevue College.
The students who receive these scholarships could not be more deserving of these gifts as they go off to college. We are so proud of all the recipients and grateful to the philanthropists who made the scholarships possible. Read reflections from Loren Smith, who fulfilled her promise to elementary schools students through a scholarship fund at Seattle Foundation.
