Dara (Dara “Dair-uh”) Villanueva is an HR leader who brings heart, clarity, and intention to every organization she supports. Throughout her 20+ years, she has helped teams thrive by streamlining processes, strengthening operations, and creating environments where people feel valued and empowered. She blends analytical problem‑solving with a naturally collaborative style, ensuring that employees not only have what they need to succeed but also feel seen, supported, and encouraged along the way. 

Dara’s expertise spans talent management, cross‑functional leadership, and program development. She approaches her work with a system-thinking mindset, designing programs that enhance compliance, reduce risk, and contribute to long‑term organizational health. Her ability to connect with people, build trust, and foster inclusive, high‑performing cultures has consistently led to stronger engagement, smoother operations, and sustainable growth. 

At the core of Dara’s leadership philosophy is empathy, accountability, and a deep belief in the potential of others. She is passionate about mentorship and professional development, helping individuals grow with confidence and purpose. Guided by curiosity and optimism, she navigates challenges with steadiness and good humor. She often describes herself as a captain who leads with warmth and clarity—keeping the crew motivated, engaged, and smiling while steering the organization toward meaningful success.  She has an MBA in Business Administration, a BA in Music, and is a Certified Professional in Disability Management.

Other fun facts about Dara, she was born and raised on the Island of Oahu in Hawaii.  She and her Partner/Wife of 23 years live in Federal Way and have 3 large dogs – all adopted rescues.
