Marissa leads learning and evaluation efforts, ensuring Community Programs’ strategy and decision making is grounded in community perspective, research, and continuous improvement to better support advancing racial and economic equity in Greater Seattle.

Marissa comes to Seattle Foundation with a wealth of experience in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors and a deep commitment to historically under-resourced communities. Most recently, Marissa worked at The Giving Practice, the consulting arm of Philanthropy Northwest dedicated to more equitable, collaborative and effective philanthropy.

Marissa holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Washington. Outside of work, you can find her thrifting, exploring the outdoors or trying new restaurants.

Marissa joined Seattle Foundation in 2022.
