Speakers

Michael Miller | Chief Investment Officer, Crewcial Partners

Mike Miller, CFA®, is the Chief Investment Officer of the firm. He provides the firm’s clients with advice on asset allocation, manager selection, and performance evaluation/attribution, and he is an integral part of the research team. Mike has 34 years of experience in the consulting business, all of which have been spent with Crewcial. Mike holds a BS in Computer Science from Columbia University and an MA in Statistics from Columbia University.

Alesha Washington | President & CEO, Seattle Foundation

On May 11, 2022, Alesha Washington began her tenure as President and CEO of the Seattle Foundation. She most recently served as the program director for Vibrant Neighborhoods and Inclusive Economy at The George Gund Foundation based in Cleveland, Ohio. During her time at the Gund Foundation, Alesha led the collaborative efforts of the senior program team to strengthen democracy building and civic engagement strategies statewide. She also directed grantmaking strategies to bolster community revitalization, economic growth, and resident leadership.

Ed Taylor | Chair, Board of Trustees, Seattle Foundation

Dr. Edward Taylor is vice provost and dean of Undergraduate Academic Affairs at the University of Washington where he oversees educational opportunities that deepen and enrich the undergraduate experience. Taylor is a professor in the UW’s College of Education and he has co-authored several publications including the book Transformative Conversations: A Guide to Mentoring Communities Among Colleagues in Higher Education.

Lu Yang | Managing Director, Finance & Operations, Seattle Foundation

Lu oversees FP&A and drives organizational best practices. Prior to joining Seattle Foundation, Lu was a mergers and acquisitions integration consultant with Moss Adams where she advised west coast clients on operational strategies and change management. Lu also spent time in financial planning and analysis at Starbucks Coffee Company in supply chain and business partnerships.
