Asa is a born and raised Seattleite with more than 25 years of experience working in the nonprofit sector in California, Hawaii and Washington. Her early career as a social worker spans the areas of inpatient adolescent & family psychotherapy, medical social work and foster & homeless youth. For the past 15 years as a fundraiser, her focus has been in educational access & completion and with vulnerable youth and young adult populations.

Asa holds a BA in psychology from Oregon State University and a MSW from San Francisco State University. She has served on the boards of Friends of Youth, the Association of Fundraising Professionals and is a founding member of the Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic Guild. She lives in Bellevue, Washington with her husband and is the proud parent of one adult son. She enjoys reading, traveling, live performances, good food and company.

Asa has been working at Seattle Foundation since 2024.
