Now accepting applications for the Seattle Foundation and Communities of Opportunity (COO) Systems and Policy Change (SPC) RFP – apply by October 11

Application Launch: August 24
Applications due: October 11, 2022, 11:59 PM
Notification of Selected and Non-Selected Applicants: February 2023

We are excited to announce that the Seattle Foundation and Communities of Opportunity (COO) Systems and Policy Change (SPC) Request for Proposals (RFP) is now open! This funding opportunity closes on Tuesday, October 11 at 11:59 PM. Submit your application.

This RFP invites proposals from community-led and community-engaged efforts to transform systems and policies that will decrease and/or prevent continued racism and inequities related to economic opportunity, health, housing, and community connections in communities of color in King County.

With this RFP, we seek to fund organizations and coalitions advancing policy work as a mechanism for systems change. In pursuit of this, the opportunity will prioritize funding for organizing activities focused on long-term policy change, as defined by the applicant, while clearly articulating how such policy evolution fits into the larger picture of systems change.

Applications are due October 11, 2022, 11:59pm via Seattle Foundation’s online application portal.

COO will prioritize applications from groups led and staffed by individuals who reflect the ethnic and cultural communities they serve, and who have a demonstrated ability and plan for reaching and engaging members of those communities around policy and systems change work.

An organization applying on its own behalf may receive up to $125,000 per year. Applicants applying as a coalition with other organizations may receive up to $200,000 per year.

For more information, please attend one of the upcoming webinars. We strongly recommend potential applicants attend one of the sessions, though it is not mandatory for applying. We will post a link to a recording of the webinars after each session.
