Karla Horwitz is an Independent Corporate Director, Board Advisor, and Investment banker.
Currently, she is the Founder and Managing director of both The Horwitz Group, LLC, a CFO
advisory and transaction readiness firm and WMP Capital, LLC., an investment banking firm
with Offices in Seattle, WA and Toronto, CN. She currently is an independent Director for
Color Creative, a Marketing Agency based in Seattle. Formerly, Karla was a member of the
Board of Yesler Inc. and Projectline from August of 2018 until the firm was sold to Accenture
on April 1, 2020. She has been and continues to be a Board advisor to several technology and
telecom companies where she is a trusted advisor and/or mentor to the leadership team.
Former Non-profit Boards included Association for Corporate Growth and King County Boys
and Girls Club.
Ms. Horwitz has spent much of her career providing guidance to companies in transition
through growth stage to IPO/Sale. She has completed several private equity, bank debt,
mergers and sales transactions with the largest dollar value at $24B.
She helps her clients at value creation and at the strategic financial level, assisting them in
securing financing, positioning them for future transactions and aiding in international
expansion. Ms. Horwitz has worked with companies in the casual games, telecom, mobile,
enterprise software, social media, consumer packaged goods, real estate, hospitality, B2B
professional services and entertainment industries. She has served as Advisor and/or CFO to
high growth companies such as Tupl AI, Dimensional Mechanics, Spaceflight Industries,
Playfab, PopCap Games, Click Wine Group and US Telco leading all to successful exits. She
also led the CFO advisory practice at Arthur Andersen with clients such as Real Networks,
VoiceStream, (now T-Mobile), Monet Mobile, Getty Images, WRQ/Attachmate and large
family offices. Ms. Horwitz graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelor of
Science in Accounting. Ms. Horwitz holds FINRA Series 63 and 79 licenses and is a registered
representative of an independent broker/dealer, FNEX Capital, Member of FINRA/SIPC. She is
also a WA state CPA, (inactive).
