With a background in climate, Shannon has been working in the nonprofit social justice sector for 8 years. She is committed to addressing the existing systems of oppression we live in and finding ways to challenge them. Shannon earned her MSc in Sustainability and Environmental Studies at University of Strathclyde and a bachelor’s in Political Science from Howard University. Beyond work, you’ll often find Shannon immersed in painting, writing, growing food or playing with her two cats. Shannon looks forward to blending her experiences and interests to support Seattle Foundation’s diverse collective of grantees.  

Shannon joined Seattle Foundation in 2023.
